Uxbridge Lions Club welcomes new members and we offer the opportunity for people to be volunteers at our events.
Membership is open to men and women who are at least 18 years old
and have a willingness to give back to the community.
Do you enjoy working with people? Need to work community service hours? Volunteers are welcome and appreciated.
When you join our club:
Any man or woman who is willing to help others in their community can become a Lion. They must of at least 18 years old, and have a willingness to give back their community.
When you join Uxbridge & District Lions Club, you are part of the largest world-wide volunteer organization, Lions Clubs International. As a Lions Club Member as an active volunteer in our community, you are a member of a respected international organization, a leader in the community and a friend to people in need.
One of the best things about being Lion is working alongside other members to create positive change and knowing that your efforts contribute to making a real difference in the lives of others. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Why be a Lions Club Member
The primary reason for becoming a Lion is to help others in our community. Club members offer assistance where required in the community. There are opportunities for you to meet people who also want to help other people.
Events such as inter-club visits and annual conventions play an important part of being a Lion. By attending these events, members broaden their knowledge and appreciation of how Lions Clubs serve communities world-wide.
As a member of a Lions Club, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills, strengthen social relationships and develop friendships. Skills that you have may also be beneficial to the work we do in our community. You will also appreciate the rewards of knowing that the time and energy you have spent to help others in your local community, regionally and world-wide. When you volunteer with our club:
Volunteering with our Lions Club provides you with the opportunity for personal development, leadership development and building a strong social network. When you volunteer with our Club you are among our Friends of Lions volunteers.

Being a volunteer give you a sense of purpose. Making a positive impact on the lives of others in the community provides you with a sense of accomplishment and pride.
You have an opportunity to strengthen your skills in leadership, communication, project management, and organization that will be beneficial to your personal life and in your career.
As a volunteer you will become more aware of local issues and how the work you do with our Club can make a positive impact on helping others in the community.
Anyone can volunteer as a Friend of Lions. Students are welcome to volunteer with us to accumulate community service hours. If you are interested in volunteering with our Club, contact us.
How Can You Help

Join an information meeting about the Lions Club

Attending fundraising events or help out any way you can.

Donate any time you can for different functions: i.e. come up to Camp Kirk in the spring to help ready the camp for the kids

Bring your ideas for the Community to a meeting. We’re always looking for new ideas.

When you join the Lions Club, we will put your ideas, special skills and contacts to use for the benefit of the community and you can be part of the changes
