What We Do
What We Support and Fund
The Uxbridge Lions Club has been raising funds since 1974 in the Uxbridge community. These funds we raise from each fundraising event are given to various community organizations to support their activities and to help those with special needs and others who may be less fortunate than we are.

If there are charities that have a special significance for you, please consider joining the Uxbridge Lions!
Your donation is valuable to our Club to help individuals and Uxbridge community groups and special projects such as the new playground in Elgin Park. Uxbridge Lions Club accepts donations at their events or you can donate by going to your bank website and email your donation to uxbridgelions@gmail.com.

Lions Food Booth
Lions volunteers operate the Food Booth in Elgin Park as part of their fundraising activities. All profits go to local charities.
In the past, the Lions Food Booth has been open for events such as Canada Day and Uxbridge Fall Fair.
This year, the Food Booth is open during the summer for various events and for the Car Show on Thursday evenings from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for the Fall Fair weekend..
Art in the Park
Every year on the 3rd weekend in August, Uxbridge Lions Club hosts Art in the Park. This year we celebrated 31 years of hosting this event. This event provides an opportunity for artists to display their work and for patrons to purchase artwork. This event includes food vendors, a Children's Play Area and a Silent Auction from which proceeds are donated to the Lions Foundation of Dog Guides Canada. Parking is free.

The Art-In-The-Park Silent Auction event alone has raised over $50,000.00 for Lions Guide Dogs over the past 31 years.

Walk for Dog Guides
In 2025, our Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides celebrated 40 years of helping people with disabilities get assistance of a Dog Guide so that they can navigate the world with confidence and independence.
A small but enthusiastic crowd with pups and their handlers came out. Lots of "Doggie Bags," and various canine gifts were gifted to the walkers, compliments of Pet Valu Uxbridge. Water bowls welcomed the four-legged friends. Hot coffee, water bottles and hot dogs were on hand. Click here to see our gallery from the 2025 walk.
As the only school in Canada to train and match dog guides in seven unique areas of service, the Lions of Canada Foundation of Dog Guides is proud to help people build independence, confidence and connections through its life-changing Dog Guide Program.
Thank you for your support.
Urgent Donations Are Needed!!
The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is currently building a new facility for a new national training facility and to keep their programs running. Donations can be made by logging in to the Uxbridge Lions Club donation page by visiting:
Lions Road Toll
The Road Toll is one of our most successful fundraisers and we thank the citizens of Uxbridge who so generously donate.
Each year, the Uxbridge & District Lions conduct a “Voluntary Road Toll” at the Zehrs/Walmart/LCBO plaza. Our club supports over forty groups either located right in our community or serving the people of this community. This also helped with our developing a “Universal Playground” (accessible to children of all abilities).
In light of the fact that many people do not normally carry cash in these challenging times, we ask for members of the public to make a point of doing so. Loose change or paper money is accepted.
