Why Become a Lion
The primary reason for becoming a Lion is to helps others in your community. Club members offer assistance where required in the community. There are opportunities for you to meet people who also want to help other people.
Events such as inter-club visits and annual conventions play an important part of being a Lion. By attending these events, members broaden their knowledge and appreciation of how Lions Clubs serve communities world-wide.
As a member of a Lions Club, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by acting in an executive role of your club. You will also appreciate the rewards of knowing that the time and energy you have spent to help others in your local community, regionally and world-wide.
Who Can Become a Lions Club Member
Any man or woman who is willing to help others in their community can become a Lion. They must of legal age, of good moral character and, above all, must be dedicated to making their communities a better place to live. They will enjoy working with the handicapped, the aged, the sick, the blind, the underprivileged and the youth of their community.
